About The New York Libertarian Party Meetup Group

Hi,

This group is to help interested people connect with other Libertarians in NYC and where ever they are. We have a very active group in Manhattan but we have only recently connected with meet-up. There are also groups in Queens and Brooklyn but we work together and anyone is welcome regardless of location.

We have regular monthly meetings the second Monday of each month. Meetings are free and all are welcome.

Meetings are currently held at the Ukranian East Village Restaurant (ballroom in the rear of the restaurant) 140 Second Avenue, New York, NY. Between 9th St and St. Mark's Place. It's a nice big room so we have space for everyone. The business meeting starts at 6:30 and the Program starts at 7:30. During the business meeting we usually plan activism events, take care of election business or any other "nut and bolts". The Program usually consists of a speaker of interest to libertarians a debate or other informational program.

You can order dinner and drinks during the program but that's totally optional.

After the meeting we usually retire to the bar to have deep philosophical conversation and plot strategy for the Libertarian Freedom Revolution - which of course is best plotted over drinks.

We do real activism too. When we aren't in the bar plotting - or sometimes when we are. We have 2 TV shows and a newspaper. We need lots of help on those. We run candidates in every election cycle - need tons of help there. Think you might be a good candidate? Take a shot - we have lots of experience and can show you the ropes. It's a great experience. We also do outreach and education programs - street fairs, protests, press releases. And we would love your help and input.

So the whole message is - get involved - help save the planet from the politicians and have fun in the process.
